Charlottesville became home to this yankee transplant,
originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1976, after our move from
Lexington, Kentucky, and travelling the country to find "Camelot". We
lived in different university communities, until we moved to fabulous
C'ville! I found everything I ever wanted in the friendliness of this community, clean air (no pollution), great medical care, and I loved how it's so well suited for travel.
The University of Virginia is the hub of this town, and has so much to offer everyone! Presently we have culture from performing arts theathers to the new John Paul Jones Arena for fine shows.
I entered into real estate part-time, and within a year the guidance I'd received helped me to establish a full-time-plus business. I believe you should always give more than you receive, and thus I created my logo "The Key To Your Real Estate Success". I've been described as having enthusiasm, great knowledge, and I'm a people-person who genuinely loves her career and those she works with. I believe buying or selling a home should be a fun experience, but of course there are times when pure business enters into it. Many of my past buyers and sellers have become life-long friends, and for that I am very fortunate.
I assist everyone, including those needing
rentals... as I believe everyone has a right to share in my knowledge. I have a team of people (mortgage lenders, attorneys) I work with who share my love and enthusiasm for real estate. In 1993 I was given "Salesperson of the Year" from the Charlottesville Association of Realtors (local board of realtors).
I believe in being a sponge, you can never learn too much, therefore, my designations are many. I hold the following designations:
- ABR - The Accredited Buyer Representative designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS® who meet specified educational and practical experience criteria.
- CRS - The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation is the professional Designation offered by the Council of Residential Specialists. The CRS Designation is the highest professional designation awarded to REALTORS® in the residential sales field. Fewer than 4 percent of all REALTORS® hold the CRS Designation.
- CLHMS - Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist. Realtors who hold the CLHMS designation have successfully demonstrated their expertise in the luxury home and estate market by meeting strict performance requirements.
- e-PRO - The e-PRO Certification Course is an educational program unlike any other professional certification or designation course available, comprehensive and interactive. It is sponsored by the National Association of Realtors® and is specifically designed to help real estate professionals thrive in the competitive world of online real estate.
- SRES - Senior Real Estate Specialist is a designation for Realtors to address the needs of home buyers age 55-plus, learning about the different housing options for seniors and how best to assist them in buying the right home for their needs.
- CRB - The Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager designation is one of the most respected and relevant designations offered in real estate business management. Not just anyone can display the CRB designation after his or her name. It is reserved for only the most dedicated conscientious and highly skilled managers.
- GRI - Graduate Realtor Institute. New technology, laws, procedures and the increasing sophistication of buyers and sellers require real estate practitioners to perform at an ever-increasing level of professionalism. So it's more important than ever that you work with an agent who has a keen understanding of the real estate business. The GRI program has helped the best and the brightest in the industry achieve that level of understanding.

I don't have much time for hobbies, but I did
enjoy my toy red poodle, who is now gone. I hope to get another poodle
soon. I love to go shopping when time permits, as well as cruising when
time allows. I have a blog about Charlottesville and central Virginia,
